  • (1888PressRelease) April 20, 2011 - MIAMI - The nationally recognized public accounting and consulting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF) was named to Accounting Today's Top 100 Firms list. With billings of $68 million in 2010, the firm ranked at number 38, climbing into the top 40 firms on the list and remaining as Florida's top revenue grossing firm.

MBAF has been consistently named to the Top 100 annual ranking. In its 24th year, the Top 100 list ranks the top accounting firms in the United States by revenue. Accounting firms and industry observers refer to the list throughout the year as it provides benchmarking data and analysis by region.

MBAF was also listed as one of the Pacesetters in Growth, ranking it number 23 on that list with a 5.92 percent change in revenue growth from last year. Additionally, the firm was named one of the Top Firms in the Gulf Coast (Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi), taking the second spot on the list. According to the report, between the economy and the BP oil spill, Gulf Coast states did not grow quite as strongly as the previous year but did manage a slight increase, demonstrating the sort of resilience necessary for living in an area that seems to attract disaster after disaster.

"It's an honor to be included on the Top 100 list once again," said Tony Argiz, CEO and managing partner of MBAF. "At MBAF, our partners and staff work diligently to continue growing our firm and meeting the demands of our clients. This is a testament of the high-caliber work that our professionals deliver."

The report also highlights MBAF's combination with New York accounting and consulting firm ERE LLC that took place in January 2011, adding approximately $21 million in additional revenue and a Northeast presence. The recent combination was not used to calculate the revenue for the 2011 Accounting Today Top 100 list. Today the firm, that opened in Miami in 1969 with a staff of 12, counts on more than 400 partners and employees in offices in Miami, New York, Baltimore, Boca Raton, Boulder, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Valhalla and India.
