  • (1888PressRelease) December 14, 2013 - MIAMI - Frank Gonzalez, CPA/CFF, has been promoted to principal-in-charge of the Audit Department at nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF). Based in MBAF's Miami office, Gonzalez will also continue to lead the firm's Financial Institutions Group and SEC practices. The announcement was made by Tony Argiz, Chairman and CEO of MBAF.

    Gonzalez directs the firm's work with community banks, international banks/agencies and SEC companies. He is highly experienced in the rigorous regulatory and compliance standards applied to the industry, and works with both domestic and international banking organizations. He has experience in performing audits and advisory services to bank organizations ranging in size from billion dollar multi-nationals to start-up institutions. Gonzalez also has experience in providing audit and business advisory services to many national and international public (SEC) and privately held companies.

    An active professional, Gonzalez was previously the president of the board of the Cuban-American Certified Public Accountants Association and the South Florida Banking Institute. Additionally, he has served on the board of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves on the board and memberships committee of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, as audit committee chairman for the Orange Bowl Committee, and as audit committee chairman and a member of the board of directors of the United Way of Miami-Dade. He is currently the chairman of the board for United Way's Center for Financial Stability.

    Gonzalez received a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Florida International University and a Master of Business Administration degree in accounting and finance from the University of Miami. A proud alumnus of FIU, Gonzalez currently serves on Florida International University's School of Accounting Advisory Board, School of Business Dean's Council, and Foundation Board of Directors.
