Binelo, CPA in the Audit Department of nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLC (MBAF), has been promoted to director. Based in MBAF's Miami office, Binelo previously served as a senior manager in the firm's Audit Department. The announcement was made by Tony Argiz, Chairman and CEO of MBAF.

    As a director, his responsibilities include engagement planning, budgeting, supervision, review and researching technical issues, implementation and review of internal controls for various industries. These industries include broker-dealers, healthcare, retail, sports and entertainment and wholesale/distribution.

    Binelo is MBAF's Healthcare Audit practice leader and has many years of experience auditing healthcare organizations under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles as well as under accounting practices prescribed by State Offices of Insurance Regulation. Binelo's healthcare audit work experience includes various Health Maintenance Organizations, hospitals, and durable medical equipment companies, mongst others. In addition, Binelo has extensive work experience in the audits of various broker-dealers, retail, sports and entertainment and wholesale/distribution organizations. Prior to joining MBAF, Binelo worked for a "Big Four" firm in the International Executive Service Tax Department.

    He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a board member of Family Resource Center of South Florida and an audit committee member of the United Way of Miami-Dade. Binelo attended Florida International University where he earned a Bachelor of Accounting degree and a Master of Science in Taxation degree.
