  • (1888PressRelease) September 28, 2014 - Matt Montez's second EP 'Sight from Inside' was released digitally on the autumn equinox 23rd September 2014. It's been a year since the release of En Route (September 2013) and the sounds have evolved into a full and impressive upbeat vibe.
Matt Montez a musician from Leeds, UK recorded another at the Australian Deva Studios with award winning Brett Hamlyn.

The album lyrics hold themes of personal development, motivational and looking within yourself to find all the answers you need. This album holds a bigger variety of sounds and finding a genre to attach to this album proves difficult, involving touches folk, blues, rock and reggae. The guitar sound diversifies throughout the album with finger picking heart string puller song like 'Ocean and Me', strumming foot stompers like 'Monkey Corner' and the track 'Don't Need Sleep' uses percussive slap guitaring techniques (using the guitar to sound like a drum). No matter what mood you feel you're in you'll find a song on this EP to suit your mood.

The EP is available digitally on all major stores, a full list at

Matt Montez started his solo music career while travelling Australia. His music exploded after settling in Nimbin surrounded by mountains, waterfalls and rainforests. Inspired by the 'peace and love' attitude and the beautiful tranquil surroundings ignited a flow of creative writing.
His music is influenced from the life of a travelling man enkindled by nature. A mixture of folk, reggae, blues and soul build diverse sounds, bolstered by spiritual lyrics. The vocals hold an emotional release of the passion, delivered from the heart. Songs contain underlying messages; we are inspiring each other, 'Carpe Diem' and live in the moment. The song 'En route' explains that no matter where you go or what you have, as long as you can spend it with loved ones nothing else matters. The line "find your gift to build a new reality" from 'Once' epitomises the transformation Matt went through finding his passion in life… music.
After developing his sound, set off touring across New South Wales with notable performances at: Nimbin Roots Festival, March against Monsanto (Bellingen), Spring Eve Festival (Nimbin), Rock The Gate (Bently Blockade, Byron Bay) -, Barefoot Boogie (Bellingen), Byron Bay Easter Markets. With plays and interviews on Local radio stations across Australia and online stations, established a presence down under.
Matt then played across the Jungles of Borneo and performed in Cambodia on his way back home to the UK to perform at Beat-herder Festival (Lancashire), continuing his story of music into the next chapter.
"I want to give people the inspiration I feel while listening to music"
