  • (1888PressRelease) April 17, 2014 - MONTREAL - At ITEC 2014 (Cologne Messe, Germany, May 20-22, stand E170) Matrox® Graphics Inc. will present a variety of products ideal for military training, education, and simulation environments. Zero-latency Matrox Avio™ F125 fiber-optic KVM extenders enable realtime remote access to computing resources secured in a separate location up to 10 km from the operator. Matrox Maevex™ 5100 Series of 1080p60 H.264 encoders/decoders offer low-bandwidth streaming over COTS IP network equipment. Matrox DualHead2Go™ and TripleHead2Go™ external multi-display adapters feature a rugged, solid-state design. Matrox Mura™ MPX Series of capture and display boards provide exceptional switching, scaling and compositing capability for large-scale video walls. Live demonstrations of these products will be combined to replicate a fully collaborative, multi-platform military training environment.

    Matrox Avio F125 KVM extenders
Matrox Avio F125 fiber-optic KVM extenders separate dual HD or single 4K Ultra HD video, keyboard, mouse, stereo analog audio and USB 2.0 devices from a workstation. The transmitter/receiver pair extends two single-link DVI (2x1920x1200) or one dual-link DVI (2560x1600 or 4096x2160) video, and multiple high-speed USB 2.0 compliant devices from the host computer by up to 400 m (1312 ft) over multimode cable and 10 km (6.2 mi) over single-mode cable. Avio F125 stands out for its ability to transmit all signals with zero compression and zero latency on a single duplex LC-LC fiber-optic cable. Using multiple Avio transmitter/receiver pairs, an entire fleet of host systems can be centrally located in a secure location, making it ideal for military and other environments that require strict security.

    Matrox Maevex 5100 Series H.264 encoders/decoders
Matrox Maevex 5100 Series delivers excellent streaming quality at a fraction of the price of traditional encode/decode systems. Maevex AV-over-IP solutions enable the extension of Full HD quality 1080p60 video and audio over standard IP networks with unicast and multicast support for digital signage, collaborative video walls, and many other applications. Bitrates are user definable between 100Kbps and 25Mbps allowing for multiple streams on both 100Mb and 1000Mb standard networks. Maevex H.264 encoders even allow for software-based decoding on non-Maevex devices. Maevex encoders can also function in record mode allowing Full 1080p60 MP4 files to record to NAS or network shared drives for storage of sensitive and important AV data. Maevex units come bundled with Matrox PowerStream™ software, allowing for easy remote management of Maevex devices and functionality.

Matrox Mura MPX video wall controller boards
Matrox Mura MPX Series output/input video wall controller boards feature highly flexible, universal input channel support for both digital and analog (DVI, RGB/VGA, Component, S-Video & Composite) video signals. Compatible Mura MPX analog video capture cards provide additional NTSC/PAL/SECAM input channel support and the Mura MPX-SDI board features two 3G SDI video inputs and two DVI outputs. Superior scalability enables anything from small-scale, single-board configurations for presentation and simulation systems for educational purposes to medium and large-scale multi-board systems for military command and control centers. Matrox MuraControl™ video wall management software for Windows® or iPad® offers intuitive control over Mura MPX-powered installations. It gives users the ability to manage how content is captured and arranged on the wall to meet their specific needs.

    Matrox DualHead2Go & TripleHead2Go external multi-monitor adapters
Matrox DualHead2Go and TripleHead2Go external multi-monitor adapters let users add two or three monitors to a notebook or desktop computer. They connect to the video output of the system and use its existing GPU to provide high quality, uncompressed graphics and video across all monitors. The added desktop space provides an expansive in-game field of view ideal for combat simulators.
