Washington, DC-MD-VA-WV (1888PressRelease) November 16, 2010 - Allowing the public to determine the charities to which a company donates is a bit unorthodox; but ImagineDesign, a Manassas, VA-based branding and web development firm, has decided to do just that. Building on their commitment to give back to their community, ImagineDesign has announced a contest that will run until December 20, 2010 where the winner will not need to enter to win.

Starting November 15, the public is invited to submit their favorite non-profit on ImagineDesign's Facebook page through a simple web form as part of their Second Annual "We Fight Ugly" Contest. On December 20, the winning charity will be announced and contacted by ImagineDesign. The charity must be a qualifying non-profit and the design of the web site, valued at $5,000, will be donated in the name of the entrant.

"The idea is to encourage giving," says Patrick King, Founder of ImagineDesign. "I'm confident that everyone wants to be able to contribute to their community, but lean times like we've experienced over the past few years have forced us into a survival mentality. By creating this contest, I hope that it will encourage people to consider ways that they can get involved, and that it doesn't have to rely on money." Patrick also mentioned that this is a concept that he would like to repeat annually in spirit of the holiday season.
