Mahindra's auto sector clocks 35,177 units in September 2010, its highest ever monthly sales number

  • (1888PressRelease) October 02, 2010 - Mumba - Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), a part of the US $7.1 billion Mahindra Group, today announced its highest ever sales in a month which stood at 35177 units during September 2010 as against 28434 units during September 2009, an increase of 24%.

    The company's all-time high domestic sales stand at 33866 units during September 2010, as against 27431 units during September 2009, an increase of 23%. Exports have grown by 86% during the same period.

    The sector YTD September 2010 sales stand at 174222 units as against 136279 units, an increase of 28%.

    Speaking on the half-yearly numbers, Rajesh Jejurikar, Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra said, "It is a matter of pride for us that September 2010 has been a record month for auto sales in the history of Mahindra, wherein we have sold a total of 35177 vehicles. All our brands have done exceptionally well with the Logan having clocked a sale of 1000 units during the month of September 2010."
