  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) July 17, 2013 - Made Woman Magazine, Los Angeles' premier online publication for today's young, professional woman; celebrates two years of success on July 25th, 2013 at the W Los Angeles - Westwood.

After 44 issues of unique content, the contributions of more than 25 writers, bloggers and experts, 700% growth in unique visitors and 600% growth on social media; Made Woman co-founders Serena Watson and Lindsey Day are ready to showcase the Made Woman Network -- offline.

The USC graduates started the magazine as a way to connect with and support other ambitious women, who needed resources to help them blaze trails and create their own career paths in a recessed economy. With a new issue released every other Monday since the summer of 2011, the site is a lifestyle guide for the modern career woman - complete with business tips, dating advice, monthly entrepreneur features and more.

Today, Made Woman Magazine is at the helm of a rapidly growing collective of LA-based female entrepreneurs; women who are committed to growing their unique projects in a collaborative manner.

"We want to take our mission and make it live and breathe, so it's not just words on a screen; we're building something that affects women's lives - and careers - in positive ways," said Day, Made Woman's Business Manager, in a December 2012 interview with USC's Marshall School of Business [http://www.marshall.usc.edu/news/releases/2012/magazine-made-women].

Made Woman's Two Year Celebration -- with music by LA's premier DJ, DJ Lady Sha -- marks the beginning of this new phase. The July 25 event will bring together LA's best and brightest in one room for a night of networking, fun and fabulous people. Watson, the magazine's Editor-in-Chief, sees the event as a transition into the next stage of the Made Woman brand. "Our readers have connected with our message - now it's time to join with them and build real community among female business women. The growth and success of our network is just as important as our own growth and success."

Since its inception, Watson and Day have envisioned Made Woman as not just an online magazine, but a networking platform that helps young, ambitious women connect and grow their personal and professional ventures. Their concept received $5,000 in initial funding during last summer in a successfully funded campaign on Indiegogo, a popular crowdfunding platform.

This month's event will usher in a new era for the magazine and will provide attendees an opportunity to network with the city's top influencers. Space is limited: get more information on the Made Woman website [http://bit.ly/MW2Year] and RSVP here [mw2year.eventbrite.com] by July 22.
