As directors, Duane and Pat will assist and contribute in fundraising and program activities, actively participate in NCTA affairs, attend all NCTA Board of Directors meetings, work with the board to communicate NCTA's role in the state's trucking industry, and support the values and goals of NCTA. Duane previously served as a board member and chairman of the NCTA, while Pat became the first woman chair of the NCTA in 1997, having served on its board of directors and several of its committees for many years.

    NCTA is a nonprofit trade association representing the interests of the trucking industry since 1929. NCTA serves as the industry's primary voice on transportation and other public policy issues, as well as promoting a safe, dependable and cost-effective motor transportation infrastructure to the betterment of the trucking industry in North Carolina. NCTA works to protect the interests of North Carolina's trucking industry by working with state and federal regulatory and enforcement agencies.
