Littler received accolades in the following categories:

    • #2 - Labor and Employment (overall)
    • #3 - Best Law Firm for Diversity

    • #5 - Diversity for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) individuals

"We are proud of Littler's consistent track record in landing among the top spots in Vault's annual guide, particularly for our high rankings in the area of diversity," said Marko Mrkonich, president and managing director of Littler. "Diversity is both a priority, as well as a way of life at Littler, and we remain committed to our vision of promoting an open and inclusive environment where all of our attorneys and staff can work collaboratively to provide clients with first-rate legal services."

A highly-respected and widely-read publication, the Vault Guide ranks law firms in various categories based on evaluations by attorneys at the nation's largest law firms about their own employers and other law firms in the U.S. The diversity rankings are based on internal surveys in which associates rated their own firm's commitment to diversity with respect to women, minorities, and LGBT individuals.

Littler has long maintained a progressive approach to its internal diversity initiatives. The firm's Diversity and Inclusion Council creates, implements and reviews firmwide diversity and inclusion strategies, and its various affinity groups provide support, development and networking opportunities at the firm. Littler's Women's Leadership Initiative focuses on developing and retaining women leaders with the goal of having women leaders at every level of the firm. Additionally, the firm's support of LGBT initiatives remains a priority and Littler produced two videos in support of the international, "It Gets Better Project" started by LGBT activist and author Dan Savage. Littler also works to retain its attorneys through a mentorship program designed to promote associate development and inclusion. Finally, a number of the firm's attorneys hold leadership positions in various diversity-focused professional organizations, and Littler actively recruits a diverse workforce via targeted outreach programs and job fairs.
