LifeNet4Families is collecting backpacks, note books, pencils, pens and any school supplies that the public can donate or give a gift of $15 to outfit a child in need with a new backpack filled with school supplies.

Although the summer is a time when everyone is on vacation, LifeNet4Families is still operating and in need of food or monetary donations. During the summer, donations come to a standstill creating many empty shelves, but the same families rely on LifeNet4Families for food and assistance during these difficult times. "It's the time of the year when we reach out to the community for help," explained Melanie Geddes, LifeNet4Families' CEO. "Without the help of our community, countless low-income children will not be prepared for their first day of school." So even though many people are making vacation plans, the individuals and families of LifeNet4Families, live day to day relying on the generosity of people like you, to donate.

Donations of school supplies can be dropped off at LifeNet4Families located at One NW 33 Terrace, Lauderhill, FL 33311 on the corner of Broward Boulevard and NW 33rd Terrace. All donations are tax deductible and can be donated Monday through Friday from 9am-4:00pm. For additional information call 954-792-2328. For large, local donations, LifeNet4Families can provide a truck to receive your donations.
