  • (1888PressRelease) September 12, 2011 - Luxembourg Futures & Commodities Exchange (http://lfce.eu) today announced the availability of 24-hour trading for a wide range of electronically traded futures contracts, including many of the most popular financial currency, metals and energy futures. In addition to allowing investors to place trades at any time these markets are open, LFCE also offers 24-hour live support from licensed futures professionals via instant messaging, email and telephone.

Michel Stampton, CEO of the LFCE, says that the move is meant to better serve the growing number of individual investors who have begun trading futures, particularly as the markets have become more electronic and as exchanges have introduced innovative, retail investor-friendly products.

"Used prudently, futures can be powerful portfolio management tools for individual investors, either on their own or in combination with other securities," said Mr. Stampton. "And because many of our customers may be less familiar with futures than other investment vehicles, we believe it is critical that we offer market access and licensed support whenever they need, day or night."
LFCE currently services over 100 hedge funds and mutual funds via their prime brokerage and agency trading platform, trading a broad range of investment vehicles including options and futures.

" LFCE became a leader in Japanese options market by providing the tools and services necessary to level the playing field for investors and to demystify options," added Mr. Stampton. "That is exactly what we aim to accomplish in the fast-growing futures industry."
