  • (1888PressRelease) October 28, 2011 - Jade explains the idea behind the book 'I have always been fascinated by the' nature versus nurture' aspect of homosexuality and had often wondered what would happen to a person if they, for some reason, suffered from amnesia at some stage in their life and had no recollection of the environment they were brought up in or the social norms which may or may not have influenced their sexual presence; would they just instinctively know they were attracted to the same sex or would their preference be like a blank canvas for them to actually choose'. It was from this point of view I decided to write 143, a fictional account of two lesbians, one of whom is randomly attacked and as a result loses her memory, which included her relationship with her partner. The story follows the trials and tribulations both women have to endure trying to make sense of their new reality in the midst of lies and betrayal from those who are supposed to have their best interest at heart. Early reviews have described 143 as being 'Harrowing and intense'.
