  • (1888PressRelease) August 23, 2017 - Memphis, Tennessee - Campus Consortium, the largest global education association of schools, colleges and universities awarded a $20,000 grant to LeMoyne-Owen College to aid the Student Services Helpdesk.

A private historically black college in Memphis, LeMoyne-Owen College provides excellent liberal arts education that transforms urban students, institutions and communities. The college will use the grant to acquire the BlackbeltHelp® services to provide student services support.

"There could not have been a better time to receive this grant from Campus Consortium. Each semester our administrative, financial and registrar offices get swamped with calls and emails from students. This grant will help us fund the Student Services Helpdesk that helps us with calls and assists students with their questions and problems. This will leave our staff available to focus on the task of running the institution successfully," said Dwayne Cable, Vice President, Information Technology, LeMoyne-Owen College.

“The Campus Consortium Grant Committee is proud to present this award to LeMoyne-Owen College for Student Services Helpdesk,” said Anjli Jain, Chairman, Campus Consortium. "The Student Services Helpdesk will provide support on numerous student enquiries from Admissions and Enrollment to Housing and Health Services. We’re certain the college will benefit from this grant.”
