Lavasa Organizes Counseling Sessions For Local Youths
Lavasa Corporation Ltd (LCL), yesterday organized a counseling session for SSC students in the neighboring villages. The expert counselors advised students on how to have an approach towards studies & how having knowledge of English language will be important for their future careers.
- (1888PressRelease) September 28, 2012 - Lavasa - Continuing with its commitment for the local community engagement, Lavasa Corporation Ltd (LCL), yesterday organized a counseling session for SSC students in the neighboring villages. The expert counselors advised students on how to have an approach towards studies & how having knowledge of English language will be important for their future careers.
The program was conducted at Shree Shivaji Veer Baji Pasalakr High School, Panshet. Over 120 Students from neighbouring areas of Mulshi, Panshet, Varasgaon, Pirangut and Paud participated the session.
The surrounding areas of Lavasa- India's first planned hill city- has many Marathi medium schools. The student community of these schools is often deprived of quality counseling on approaching further studies and English as a language. "As most of the students in standard 10th get confused about further studies, which are in English, there is dire need to conduct counseling sessions about vocational prospects for these students. This was the focus of the session as well," said Mr C. D. Chavan, principal of Shree Shivaji Veer Baji Pasalkar High School.
The counseling session was organised by the community development department of Lavasa Corporation. Rajesh Nivgune - Member, Panchayat Samiti, Velhe, Pune, Balasaheb Deshpande - President, Parents and Teachers association and Vilas Taru - Ex-Sarpanch, Panshet were also present on the occasion.
