  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) June 20, 2013 - Piggybacking off the popularity of previous films for the Swim and Black Label collections, LA-based fashion label 'Lauren Elaine' teams up with Unus Lupus Entertainment to present a new brand campaign film, inspired by the 1970's grindhouse genre, for the Lauren Elaine Swim collection. The new film, debuting at the end of June, stars Sabyr Omens, Frances Raye, and Evan Miller, with Adam Powell producing.

"I really wanted to create a sort of sequel to the last Swim collection film, but take it up a notch," says Designer Lauren Elaine. "I wanted to carry over the 1970s glam feel, and showcase women who love to have fun, and like to be seen-but who can certainly take care of themselves," explains Elaine. "While normally the grindhouse genre fixates on exploitation, I wanted to create a playful version of a classic grindhouse revenge film. Something funny and flashy, and something with a distinct retro look and feel."

The new project features a return appearance by actor Evan Miller, who starred in the previous Lauren Elaine Swim fashion film. The new fashion film will debut on the Lauren Elaine Official site, at the close of June. The previous campaign films can be viewed on the official site, as well as the Lauren Elaine Youtube page.

Originally known for her modern-day princess design aesthetic as reflected in the Lauren Elaine Black Label collection, Designer Lauren Elaine officially launched the 'Lauren Elaine Swim' line in 2010. "Being from California and living in Los Angeles plays a huge role in my design aesthetic," explains Elaine. "While the Black Label offers red-carpet worthy, Hollywood looks, the Lauren Elaine Swim line allows me to design for the quintessential California beach bunny."

The Lauren Elaine brand debuted at LA Fashion Week in October 2009, and since, the label has graced the pages of such high profile publications as Vogue and Women's Wear Daily, and garnered a celebrity following on the red carpet. In 2010, Crystal Cruises hand-selected Designer Lauren Elaine to present the world's first runway show at a sea, and in September of 2011, America's Next Top Model featured both Lauren Elaine Swim and Black Label collections on Americas Next Top Model: All-Stars Edition.
