  • Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) May 17, 2012 - Jorge Mas, Chairman of the Board of MasTec, will be the keynote speaker at the luncheon on May 18, 2012. Preceding the luncheon, there will be a very special ribbon cutting ceremony for el malecón at La Ermita de la Caridad.

    The networking hour and luncheon will take place at the Felix Varela Hall of La Ermita de la Caridad, beginning at 11:30 am.

    The ribbon cutting ceremony for el malecón will celebrate the new seawall, and pay homage to the landmark of the same name located in Havana, Cuba. Keynote speaker Jorge Mas will be discussing the rise of his company, MasTec, as well as his work with the Cuban community in the South Florida region.

    "The LBA wants to honor its rich Cuban roots, and this event is a perfect celebration of May 20th," said President Bernie Navarro.
