British based Uncover England is a region specific business directory for the UK.

Offering a powerful mix of local search and user interaction, the site is designed for ease of use and is free to use - an England first for a directory of this kind.
Founded by Giles Dawe, a long term web producer who has worked for the Daily Mail publishing group, Central UK Government and has been a full time internet entrepreneur, developing popular sites and making revenue.
Uncover England launched in September 2010, but has been developed and tested since 2005. Since it's 1 month launch, it has already over 3000 London listings from contributors and all sites are reviewed constantly making sure they are upto date. The concept of the site came about when Giles couldn't find regional sites within the major search engines. The simple idea came about to "narrow down" businesses by region, rather than by country. Being a long term internet user, Giles saw the advantages of having a vast number of listings, narrowed down by a country's region.
Uncover England acts central hub which makes for example finding Fulham Pools or an urban outlet in London searchable within 3 clicks.
