  • (1888PressRelease) May 24, 2011 - Dr. Allgower has been an emergency physician with EMP Partners (formerly EPMG) since 2002. Dr. Allgower received the Medical Director of the Year Award in 2010 from EMP Partners, and is well respected for his clinical acumen as well as his personally generous and considerate personality. Dr. Allgower earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona in Tucson and his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences/COMP in Pomona, CA. He performed his internship and Emergency Medicine Residency at OUCOM/Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH, where he served as Chief Resident.

    Residency-trained and board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Allgower is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and its Nevada Chapter. Upon joining EMP Partners and the St. Rose Dominican Hospitals, Dr. Allgower started up the Emergency Ultrasound Program and trained the emergency physician group in the use of bedside, focused emergency ultrasound. He continues to serve as the Director of Emergency Ultrasound and Operations for all three St. Rose Dominican hospital campuses in Las Vegas and Henderson Nevada. Dr. Allgower is immediate past Site Director for the St. Rose Dominican Hospital - Rose de Lima Campus Emergency Department. Dr. Tressa Naik succeeds Dr. Allgower as the ED Site Director at the Rose de Lima Campus.
