  • (1888PressRelease) May 24, 2011 - Debbie Bervel, MD, FACEP, was named NASCAR Medical Director of the Year for 2010. She has been the Medical Director at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California, for the past 2 years and has worked there as a track MD for the last 13. When not on the raceway, Dr. Bervel serves as ED Quality Director at Community Hospital of San Bernardino in San Bernardino, California. Dr. Bervel was named EMP Partners' Physician of the Year in 2010. She received the 2010 California Meritorious Award for her service with the State of California EMS. She has been with EMP Partners (formerly EPMG) since 1990.

    Tressa Naik, MD, FACEP, is the Assistant Medical Director at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This role has her dealing with major trauma in the field; safe transport alternatives, including air ambulance; crowd injuries; and psychology. As part of her efforts, Dr. Naik was awarded by the Las Vegas Motor Speedway the Most Improved Infield Care Center for 2009 - an honor no other care center received. Dr. Naik is the Site Director at St. Rose Dominican Hospitals - Rose de Lima Campus. She has been with EMP Partners (formerly EPMG) since 2004 and completed the prestigious EMP Scholars Program in 2010.

    Natalie Zaharoff, DO, is an emergency medicine, residency-trained physician who completed a fellowship at UCLA in sports medicine. Currently, she is providing medical coverage for NASCAR at three different tracks. Dr. Zaharoff works as a staff infield care physician at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, providing care for the drivers, officials and other members of the NASCAR teams. She also serves as the on-track doctor on a rotating basis. Dr. Zaharoff provides medical coverage at Phoenix International Raceway in the infield and on the concourse to the teams and the fans and also at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA, whenever needed in the infield care center. Dr. Zaharoff is the ED Quality Director at the Verde Valley Medical Center. She has been with EMP Partners since July 2010.
