  • (1888PressRelease) April 24, 2013 - Norcross GA (USA) -- Mary Hester CEO of LAN Systems, a leading IT Service Provider ( http://www.lansystems.com ), joined the Women's Leadership Forum Panel on "You take care of everything, how do you take care of yourself?" moderated by Ruchik Tulshyan, Staff Writer at the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

    With this year's theme of Winning in a New World, some of Atlanta's top business women shared what it takes to succeed in today's new business climate at the 15th annual Women's Leadership Forum. The event is presented by Atlanta Business Chronicle and Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business.

    Beverly Langford, co-director of the Women's Leadership Forum, said as society rapidly changes and businesses have more a global reach, leaders have to adapt to the change. "You are not on your own little island anymore," she said. "Because society has changed so much we have to figure out new ways to lead, whether that includes embracing diversity, having a heightened sense of intercultural sensitivity or figuring out how to do business in new ways."

    "It was an honor and pleasure to be on the WLF Panel," said Hester ( http://www.lansystems.com ). "With my fellow panelists, Camille Kesler, President of the Junior League of Atlanta and Sam Lueder, President of Anthill Communications, we gave our formula for balance and answered many probing questions and gave our best advice on how we balance home, family and our business."

    Langford said this forum is one way that female leaders can successfully connect in a high-energy arena for idea sharing. She is especially excited that a portion of the ticket sales, along with a match by Belk Inc., will help support Georgia State University's Women's Philanthropy Initiative, which provides scholarships.

    Adapting to change:
    * Embrace diversity.
    * Look at doing business in new ways.
    * Be authentic as you build relationships.
    * Believe in your abilities.
    * Work with and support others.
