Rainbow Village has been serving homeless families in Gwinnett County since 1991. The project will consolidate all services offered through the Rainbow Village program onto one site. Currently, the program is operating from four locations in the Norcross and Duluth area. The new campus will be full-service and provide the residents with housing, self-sufficiency training and after school programs for the children. The campus will be built on land owned by Rainbow Village in Duluth and will triple the number of families that the program can serve.

The year 2011 marks the 20th anniversary of Rainbow Village. In that time, over 200 families have graduated and over 500 children have been saved from homelessness.
