  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) December 04, 2021 - Up-and-coming filmmaker SeJames Humphrey is proud to announce the red carpet premiere of his new feature film, Nice Guys Finish Last, a romantic comedy featuring several of Atlanta’s most in demand actors including Alivea Disney, Danielle Maner, Rod Minger, Shuntel Renay, and Kymm Jean-Noel. The premiere will be screened at the Cinevision Screening Room in Atlanta on Saturday, December 4 at 6 p.m.

Nice Guys Finish Last is an intriguing story that explores the romantic life of James Wilson, a successful Finance Officer as he navigates the modern dating world from a black male’s perspective. The film follows the traditional black romantic comedy structure, but with a few surprising twists and cultural references from popular topics on “Black Twitter”.

“I really wanted to rewrite the stereotypical Hollywood narrative that is attached to successful and professional African Americans, so I went against the grain and wrote and produced a movie that was relatable to my life as an educated, successful black man,” says filmmaker SeJames Humphrey. “I wrote this movie to give my audience a break from all the negativity in the news and showcase black professionals in a relevant and positive light.”

The film was produced by Humphrey’s production company, Into The Sunset Productions and features him playing a myriad of roles as writer, director, and lead actor.
