  • (1888PressRelease) January 19, 2011 - Los Angeles - "Who are you wearing?" The answer was leaked weeks ago by Emmy award-winning actress Jane Lynch, herself. When asked on "Access Hollywood" about who would be designing her attire for the evening, her response was, "Ali Rahimi." After being named "Best Dressed" by fashion critic Steven Cojocaru, for her 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards gown created by Rahimi, she enlisted the designer to create another elegant gown for her for the Golden Globes.

"I'm honored that Jane has consistently selected me to design her looks and trusts me to make her look exquisite whether it is on a red carpet or for a private event," says Rahimi.

Over the past year Rahimi has dressed the Emmy award-winning actress for the Creative Arts Emmy Awards, the television hit show "Glee" where she appeared in the track suit wedding gown, and numerous other appearances. Rahimi continues to showcase his fresh new designs on Lynch for the Golden Globes, with the graphite black silk/Lurex evening gown, embellished with feathers, and a beaded necklace detail that highlights Lynch's stunning features. Since the Golden Globes is one of the first major awards shows of the year, Rahimi chose to play on a classic color, which is why he selected the reflective graphite black material rather than solid black.

In his 20 years designing in Los Angeles, Rahimi has dressed A-List celebrities, such as Anjelica Huston, Queen Latifah, Vanessa Williams, and most recently, entertainment legend Carol Channing - at this year's Kennedy Center Honors - where Jerry Herman and Oprah Winfrey received national recognition for their contributions to the arts. Rahimi also designs striking accessories for men and women and tuxedos and other garments for men. He also creates more casual pieces, such as the iconic pink suit worn by Reese Witherspoon in "Legally Blonde 2." Some of Rahimi's creations will soon be seen on the new NBC hit television show, "The Cape."

Rahimi has drawn clients from around the world, with his impeccable attention to detail and exquisite creations. He and his partner, John Barle, provide each client with attentive and personal service in the beautiful Mon Atelier salon, located in Los Angeles.
