It's Back To Prison For This Entrepreneur And He Couldn't Be Happier
Hair Illusion CEO and Former Convict Salvatore "Ronnie" Passariello to Share Personal Success Story with Inmates.

But this time, it's by invitation. On May 24 and 25, Passariello will be in Doral, Florida speaking to inmates at South Florida Correction about his experiences in entrepreneurship and helping them with their own ideas through a mini "shark tank" program, modeled after the television show in which people pitch their ventures to business titans.
Passariello, whose company produces a cosmetic solution for balding and thinning hair, is a stunning example of an innovator who created a profitable business out of virtually nothing. He left prison with only the two boxes of clippings and notes on entrepreneurship he had accumulated and the knowledge that making it on the outside wouldn't be easy. "It's hard to get a job out of prison," he says. "I wore an ankle monitor and felt restricted. I knew I had to be self-motivated." So Passariello's friend bought him a $200 laptop and put up a shower curtain to form a makeshift office in the back of his friend's tanning salon. And he got to work.
Choosing a problem he was motivated to solve because he suffered from it himself, Passariello set out to create a product that actually worked. He put in 15-hour days developing and testing his ideas, and he hired freelancers to assist in web development. He also searched all over the world for the best manufacturers for his product.
