  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) November 12, 2012 - Innovative Mind Group (IMG), a youth sports marketing company, has inked its second major partnership in the last month by signing with Interscholastic Licensing Company (ILC) for the licensing rights of Reebok for a two year deal. IMG will use these rights to benefit programs under their operation, most notably, the Kennesaw Fury Travel Basketball Team. The partnership will also benefit IMG's Bonafide Southeast Conference and RimRocker Tournaments, reaching youth basketball programs throughout the southeastern region.

The Kennesaw Fury will take full advantage of this partnership as they will receive new Reebok uniforms, shoes, bags and balls with the Reebok logo. Reebok will receive presenting rights to the Kennesaw Fury's Sibling Rivalry Tournament Series as well as present half time shows and MVP trophies. Seldom does a large shoe company work with a second year youth basketball program without a player with realistic NBA aspirations. The one that made it possible is ILC.

"It is difficult to put your teams in a lot of exposure and out of state tournaments because of cost," states David Kelly, Community Marketing Director of IMG and General Manager of the Kennesaw Fury. "Sponsorships can be hard to come by, which is really the only way to survive unless you do a lot of fundraising. But if you are always fundraising, you're not in the gym practicing." Kelly's solution came in a conversation with ILC's CEO John Saintignon. After Kelly told Saintignon his challenges with funding and partnerships, he offered a solution by way in licensing with ILC.

Currently, ILC licenses sports organizations throughout the world with IMG becoming its 50th organization. ILC allows schools and youth sports programs to capitalize on their own trademarks to generate royalties and help eliminate the need to do traditional fundraising. ILC will also help in the branding of sports programs it partners with by protecting their logos and generating revenue to support teams.

This month has been filled with good news for IMG as they signed on with the Atlanta Silverbacks two weeks ago as their 2013 Community Partner. This announcement will be publicly made at the Hard Rock Café on Thursday, November 15th in Atlanta, Georgia.
