  • (1888PressRelease) March 02, 2012 - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Sponsored by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and delivered by InfoWeapons' local joint venture DualStak Networks, in partnership with Pernec Corporation Bhd, the classes kicked off on February 13-17, 2012 with an IPv6 Forum Certified IPv6 Network Engineer Level 1 (CNE6 Silver) class.

The first batch of trainees included participants from the country's major tech companies such as Celcom, Redtone, Jaring, OCE, Extreme BB, IMPACT, Packet-1, GITN, MAMPU, and JPA. Set to run for two weeks, it will feature back-to-back training sessions for both Level 1 (CNE6 Silver) and Level 2 (CNE6 Gold) for the IPv6 Forum Certified IPv6 Network Engineer Certification.

InfoWeapons, meanwhile, is also offering IPv6 Forum Certified IPv6 Network Engineer Level 2 (CNE6 Gold) classes worldwide in partnership with Nephos6, a technology consulting firm that helps organizations effectively transition to IPv6 and adopt cloud technologies.

"These partnerships mark a significant development for IPv6 adoption in the region. An alliance among industry leaders Pernec, Nephos6, and InfoWeapons can only mean good things for the rollout of IPv6 in Asia," InfoWeapons CEO Luis Gopez says.

He adds, "IPv6 adoption in Asia is anticipated to increase many times over and InfoWeapons, together with Pernec and Nephos6, aims to be at the forefront of this explosion. This training program is just the start. More exciting things are to come!"

The CNE6 Silver courses are intended for network and system engineers who need to understand the new features and operational characteristics of networks based on IPv6, while the CNE6 Gold courses are for enterprise network engineers to enable them to set up and configure IPv6 networks and associated services, and implement migration of existing networks to support IPv6 in various architectures. These programs were developed by the IPv6 Forum through its IPv6 Education Logo (v6eLogo) Program to increase engineering quality by certifying solid curricula and recognize educated engineers.
