Independent Arizona Retailer Teams Up with Arizona Charity to Give Back This Holiday Season

  • Phoenix-Mesa, AZ (1888PressRelease) December 13, 2012 - Independent local retailer, Zoolikins, has teamed up with Maggie's Place, a community that provides houses of hospitality for expectant women who are alone or on the streets.

    Throughout the month of December, Zoolikins customers who spend over $125 will have a $10 gift certificate to the store donated to Maggie's Place. Customers are also encouraged to bring in new or gently used baby goods for donation. Maggie's Place is in need of baby toiletries, baby bottles and feeding accessories, breast feeding accessories, women's hygiene products, newborn and infant clothing, receiving blankets, swaddles and burp cloths.

    "For Zoolikins customers, having a baby is one of the most joyous times in their lives" says Zoolikins store manager, Shira Shnier. "but for some expectant mothers, it is a time of hardship. We want to change that, we want the women at Maggie's Place to feel the joy they are entitled to feel - especially during the holiday season."

    Currently, Maggie's Place operates three homes in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area (Phoenix, Tempe and Glendale) and one in Cleveland, Ohio.
