Mr. Cafu was in Doha on invitation of Goodwill Ambassador Dr. Naseer Homoud to have discussions with Qatar Football Association and Asian Football Federation. He was accompanied by Ms. Ana Gonçalves, MD of Footwise and the founder of the Brazilian World Cup Champions Association and other delegates from the Footwise- which is a is a special production company and Cafu as is its Goodwill Ambassador. Dr. Suleiman Al- Fahim, IIMSAM Goodwill Ambassador at- Large and former owner of Portsmouth was also present in the meetings.

This prodigious proposal for hosting the friendly match for supporting Japanese people is a tribute to Japan from Cafu, who lifted the FIFA World Cup in 2002 and the proposed match would be purely confined to humanitarian and charitable facets, asserted Dr. Homoud. Cafu, Footwise´s Global Ambassador, would like to organize a fund-raising football match to help the people of Japan. He grew up in Sao Paulo, Brazil which has the highest population of Japanese people outside of Japan and he won the World Cup in Japan in 2002 as Brazil´s captain. He feels a strong affinity with Japan and wants to help its people as much as possible.

The proposed plan is to organize an unprecedented charity, fundraising football match between the 2002 FIFA World Cup finalists and an All Star Team of past and contemporary players, with iconic coaches and managers from the Football World. Cafu has spoken to his fellow professional footballers around the World, both past and present for the said match. He is driven by the belief that all concerned must do what they can, to support Japan and its people at this dark and tough time. If plans get finally approved from concerned authorities in Qatar, the football match will be played in Doha in December of this year to raise funds for Japanese people. This football match will be played between the World Cup 2002 finalists XI of Brazil and Germany and an All Star global XI of past and present football greats.

The Goodwill Ambassador apprised about meetings which he facilitated for Cafu whilst his visit for discussing the feasibilities and modalities for the proposed match. "We met with President of Qatar Football Association- His Excellency Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmad Al Thani and Mr. Mohammad Bin Hammam, President of Asian Football Federation for discussing this venture and we are overwhelmed of the great response we received in the meeting; we have been assured by Their Excellencies of their support and backing for the proposed match yet, the final deliberations to this effect are pending till we meet further and finalize related aspects of the proposed match" stated Dr. Homoud who is also Honorary President of Al- Hussein Club.

Cafu also went to Aspire Academy for Sports Excellence and Qatar based Al- Sadd Club to see the sports infrastructure of Qatar and was present in a match of Manchester United. He was thrilled to see the sports infrastructure of Qatar and reaffirmed his support for FIFA world cup-2022 in Qatar. "Cafu has showed interests of working with us jointly for promoting the global legacy of football; he is a great player and champion both on and off the field. His goodwill works are greatly admired and his visit of Qatar was great success", said Dr. Homoud. He also expressed his appreciation and gratefulness for His Excellency Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmad Al Thani and Mr. Mohammad Bin Hammam for the meeting and their kind support in this venture. He explained further "the proposed match, if materialized with coordination and cooperation of all aforesaid parties, would certainly add value to Qatar preexisting humanitarian profile and charity works for which the country is known for, across the globe.
