  • (1888PressRelease) September 01, 2012 - LOS ALAMITOS, Calif. - The journal will publish peer-reviewed articles that provide innovative research ideas and applications results in all areas relating to cloud computing. Topics relating to novel theory, algorithms, performance analyses, and applications of techniques relating to all cloud computing areas will be considered for inclusion in TCC.

    The journal will consider submissions specifically in the areas of cloud security,  trade offs between privacy an utility of cloud, cloud standards, cloud development tools, cloud software, cloud backup and recovery, cloud interoperability, cloud applications management, cloud data analytics, cloud communications protocols, mobile cloud, private clouds, liability issues for data loss on clouds, data integration on clouds, big data on clouds, cloud education, cloud skill sets, cloud energy consumption, and cloud applications in commerce, education, and industry.

    The editor in chief will be responsible for the day-to-day volunteer leadership of IEEE Transaction on Cloud Computing, including coordinating and overseeing the peer-review process; recommending candidates for the editorial board; chairing the editorial board; developing editorial plans for the publication; serving as a non-voting, ex-officio member of the IEEE Computer Society Publications Board; serving as a non-voting ex-officio member of the Steering Committee for TCC, and working in general with volunteer and staff to ensure and maintain the timely publication of an exceptionally high-quality transactions.

    Applications and nominations should include a complete curriculum vita, a brief plan for the future of TCC, and a letter of support from the candidate's institution or employer.  The plan should include:

    * the candidate's perspective on the challenges and opportunities for the launch of TCC,
    * specific tasks to be undertaken if appointed EIC,
    * objective milestones associated with each task,
    * and a proposed schedule.
