  • Bergen-Passaic, NJ (1888PressRelease) March 28, 2013 - Long-time Integrated Business Systems (IBS) employee Allison DeMiro has been named Director of Project Management for the Totowa-based real estate technology firm. The promotion coincides with the establishment of IBS's Project Management Office (PMO), which responds to the company's growth and associated need for more formalized product development processes.

The 32-year-old boutique firm develops and supports high-quality property management and accounting software for the commercial real estate community. The IBS real estate software - written by real estate professionals - addresses virtually all property management, accounting and construction management tasks. The system today features the innovative, web-enabled IBS 10.0i product, which itself continues to evolve through the periodic distribution of new releases, upgrades and modifications.

A resident of North Caldwell, N.J., DeMiro joined IBS in 2001 as an entry-level programmer. She consistently has taken on positions of increasing responsibility over the past 12 years. "Allison's dedication to, and knowledge of, IBS are highly respected throughout our organization," noted Michael Mullin, president. "Her understanding of our clients' requirements and the IBS solution environment, give her a unique perspective in her new role."

The IBS PMO has been designed to operate cross-departmentally, to provide communication, coordination and management for all IBS product development projects - including custom design assignments for clients as well as ongoing system enhancements. Its role involves developing methodologies that supports the planning and implementation of efficient, successful assignments.

"As an organization, we know that improving our project management capabilities is of utmost importance in our ability to grow and prosper," DeMiro said. "The PMO is dedicated to increasing client satisfaction surrounding IBS development projects by providing centralized control and oversight of project scope, change, cost, risk and quality. All of this centers on improving internal processes."

DeMiro earned a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University. She attended Chubb Institute (now Anthem Institute) for her technology training. Prior to joining IBS, she worked in the media buying field.
