Hundreds of key players in the global tourism industry attended the JITS 2013
The Jerusalem International Tourism Summit (JITS 2013), held at the ICC Jerusalem, drew industry leaders from Europe, the Far East, Australia and the U.S. and aroused great interest in the industry.
- (1888PressRelease) May 31, 2013 - The JITS 2013, which took place for the 2nd time at the Jerusalem International Convention Center, lasted two days and dealt with innovative technologies and trends in tourism and travel. The summit brought together key figures in the global tourism industry, decision makers, entrepreneurs and investors and experts in the field of tourism.
Panels at the conference included topics such as: "Planning Models for Urban Tourism," "Tourism as a Tool for Urban Economic Development," "The Smartphone Revolution and the Impact on Users and Managers of Urban Tourism," etc.
Among the distinguished speakers who took part in the summit were: the Israeli Prime Minister, Binyamin Netanyahu, Mr. Sheldon Abelson- chairman and CEO of the Las Vegas Sands Corporation, Mr. Charm Lee, the president of the Korea Tourism Organization, Mrs. Alison Copus, VP Marketing at TripAdvisor for Business, and many others.
The Second Jerusalem International Tourism Summit for 2013 is initiated by the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Tourism, the Jerusalem Municipality and the Jerusalem Development Authority in cooperation with the Hebrew University and the Jerusalem International Convention Center.
