  • Detroit, MI (1888PressRelease) September 02, 2011 - The 2011 Corvette Dream Giveaway -- a nationwide sweepstakes to benefit Kids Wish Network's Hero Program -- is coming to an end Dec. 30, 2011.

Entering the sweepstakes is as simple as making a tax-deductible donation at the Win the Vettes website or by calling 866-WIN-BOTH. In return, the donor receives entry tickets that give him or her chances to win a pair of very rare Corvettes: a 1963 Split-Window Coupe and a Serial #1 of 1 2011 Hero Edition ZR1.

The 1963 Split-Window is the first Corvette coupe ever produced and it received the Car Life 1963 Award For Engineering Excellence. It's highly revered by enthusiasts and comes with Sebring Silver paint on the outside and a 300hp, 327 cubic inch engine under its hood. This Corvette was also the first to be labeled "Stingray," and it has dramatic split rear windows that were only made for 1963 models.

The 2011 Hero Edition ZR1 -- already the fastest ZR1 of all time -- has been enhanced by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering to generate over 700hp and exceed 200mph. It comes equipped with a racing red leather interior (that matches the Split Window's), 5-spoke custom wheels, dual exhaust pipes and carbon fiber components.

The one winner of the two Corvettes will also receive $50,000* cash to help pay their prize taxes.

Proceeds from the giveaway will go to the 501(c)(3) charity, Kids Wish Network to help fund its Hero program; which benefits children who have undergone life-altering events. For more information or to enter the 2011 Corvette Dream Giveaway, call 866-WIN-BOTH or visit Win the Vettes dot com.

*$50,000 Cash for TAXES applies to cash paid on behalf of winner for IRS withholding requirement equal to 25% of the grand-prize value; depending on winner's situation, additional taxes may be owed.
