  • (1888PressRelease) July 26, 2011 - Scott Odom and AMP1 basketball players are hard to miss.

Fitted with advanced carbon fiber prosthetic feet, this team is only organized stand-up (vs. wheelchair) basketball team in the U.S. With an inspirational "anything is possible" attitude, they will compete against basketball teams from across the country at the Nike3on3 street basketball event in Los Angeles August 5 - 7, 2011

Founded by Scott Odom who lost his leg to bone cancer but wanted to play competitive stand-up basketball, AMP1 has evolved into a league of athletes and the only organized stand-up basketball team. In its exhibitions and presentations at high school, college, charity and NBA games, AMP1 members demonstrate that "all you need is courage, motivation, determination and the heart, not just limbs, to follow your dreams.. anything is possible."
    And they often win!
