  • Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) January 18, 2011 - Kevin L. Hagen, Esquire has become certified as a National Basketball Association player agent. As Hagen continues to develop the sports management practice, the All-Star Sports Management agency continues to grow with the ability to now represent professional athletes in the NBA. With the certification, Hagen wasted no time meeting and mingling with current and former collegiate and professional basketball players to develop relationships and establish the "For Athletes, By Athletes" brand.

Thereafter, Hagen agreed in principle to represent former number one draft pick and NBA all-star Kenny Anderson with his future endeavors including public appearances, camp development and other business ventures. After a college career at Georgia Institute of Technology, Anderson played point guard professionally from 1991 through 2006 with several NBA teams including the New Jersey Nets, Boston Celtics and Indiana Pacers. Anderson was selected by the Nets with the second overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft. He was the youngest player in the league at that time. In Anderson's second season, he nearly doubled his first year point, rebound and assist averages. In his third season, he averaged 18.8 ppg and 9.6 apg. Anderson and his Nets' teammate, Derrick Coleman, both represented the East squad in the 1994 NBA All-Star Game. In September 2008, he was inducted into the New York City Basketball Hall of Fame.

Additionally, Hagen has forged a relationship with Jason Gilliam-Alexander who played collegiately and professionally for the AAU powerhouses, Bronx Gauchos and Riverside Hawks, The University of Rhode Island, Stetson University, and Kalnapilis of the LKL-Lietuvos Krepšinio Lyga (Lithuania). Gilliam-Alexander was selected Atlantic-10 All Freshman in 1992 as he lead his team to an NIT berth, All TACC Conference in 1995 and 1996 as well as TAAC Newcomer of the Year in 1995. He was later selected into the Stetson University Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.

With his agency team, Hagen has exciting plans to quickly enter the NBA player agent arena.
