GrayCell Wins Award for Excellence for "Socially Active Unit"
GrayCell Technologies Exports has won the "Jewel of the Crown" award for Excellence for "Socially Active Unit" at the recently concluded Annual IT conclave, Destination IT@North held in Chandigarh.
- (1888PressRelease) November 23, 2013 - The two -day conference was organized jointly by the UT Department of Information Technology, Punjab Government, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). STPI, Mohali, awarded some of the best performing IT and ITeS companies of the region for achievements in the year 2012-13 and the efforts of the GrayCell Team in the Social Arena were duly recognised on the occasion.
The GrayCell Team had won the award previously in the years 2010 and 2011 as well and this makes them the first firm in the region to win the prestigious award thrice. GrayCell has been very active in Social Activities in the local community and had a dedicated CSR team that acts as a focal point for all the campaigns.
The GCT Team has organized blood donation camps, tree plantation drives and has been working with the local chapter of the Young Indians (Yi),which is a part of CII (the premier trade body) to promote computer education at the Learning Centre setup in Kaimbvala, a village near Chandigarh. GrayCell has been actively involved in sponsoring the centre and the GCT Team holds special classes on weekends for the Centre students. The GrayCell Team has regular donation collection drives for donations to local NGO's and has been sponsoring the education and monthly expenses of some girl students for the Aruna Asif Ali Trust.
GrayCell organizes blood donation camps on an Annual basis with the last one being held on 1st November where more than 60 units of blood were collected.
