    Season 2 will feature men’s and women’s competitions across six regional teams representing Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Punjabi, Haryanvi, and Bhojpuri regions. Continuing its distinctive model, GPKL will include overseas players in every team, further strengthening the league’s international character.

    The inaugural season received strong participation and viewership, establishing GPKL as a unique league combining regional pride with global exposure. The Tamil Women’s Team emerged as overall champions, while the Marathi Men’s Team claimed the men’s title, setting the benchmark for competitive standards in the upcoming season.
    Player Trials and Selection

    As part of its Season 2 preparations, GPKL will soon announce player trials, which will act as the primary gateway for athlete selection.
    Trials will be open to:
    Kabaddi players from across India
    Pravasi and overseas players of Indian origin

    Men and women athletes
    Selections will be conducted through a structured, merit-based process supervised by experienced coaches and technical officials appointed by the league.
