Recently US Education Department published a report revealing the fact that the vocabulary knowledge among school kids was going downhill. Concerned by this report, educational reformer Manisha Shelley Kaura along with her physician father started to research the real cause of this continuous and steady decline of vocabulary. After thorough research, they found that one of the biggest causes was the lack of root words knowledge. Hence to show a path to the kids out of this alarming situation, the father-daughter duo formulated a well-structured four-level K-12 vocabulary program for facilitating the increase of kids’ word stock.

A Xavier University, Cincinnati alumnus Manisha believes, “Singing and dancing is a whole mind/body experience, also students are more interested in learning through music and songs other than monotonous classroom activities. Therefore, while preparing our Vocab Tunes’ programs we focused on making it a melodious learning activity.”
