    The GaleForce Turnkey Cloud and New Resource Adapters

    Gale Technologies launched the GaleForce Turnkey Cloud in March. The GaleForce Turnkey Cloud allows customers to convert their existing IT infrastructure into a private or hybrid cloud environment in just two steps and as little as two weeks. Additionally, Gale announced the availability of nine new automation Resource Adapters(RAs) that will allow multiple new products from NetApp, HP, Dell, and Cisco to be seamlessly integrated into a cloud built using GaleForce software, the company's flagship product. Most recently, Gale announced additional new or upgraded Resource Adapters for Cisco UCS servers, Nexus networking, and ASA security, as well as for VMware and Citrix virtualization, and IBM servers. These adapters build on an already extensive library of over 130 resource adapters that manage and provision thousands of compute, network, security, and storage devices.

    Partners

    Accelerating its momentum with channel partners, Gale Technologies has signed joint selling agreements with BEAR Data Solutions and Integrated Archive Systems to deliver infrastructure automation solutions and services.

    Executive Hires

    Adding to its already accomplished executive team, Gale Technologies appointed 16-year technology veteran James Thomason as chief architect. Thomason was most recently CTO and founder of Virtiv, where he was instrumental in acquiring the infrastructure and writing the software, and was previously operations architect with Ning, the world's largest platform for creating social websites. Avinash Agrawal was named vice president of engineering, and he will focus directly on the success of upcoming technology with the company. An accomplished hands-on leader, Agrawal was most recently director of Open Innovation at the SETI Institute, and was previously a long-term senior technology executive at Sun Microsystems.

    As a sign of its growing position within the cloud, Gale Technologies was a winner of the 2011 Network Products Guide 2001 Hot Companies and Best Products Award in the Hot Companies category and was named a finalist in the SIIA CODiE Awards as best cloud infrastructure application, and a finalist in the TiE50 Awardsfor its technical innovation. Gale placed third as best private cloud vendor in CloudCamp's Cloudy awards, at the 2011 SXSW Interactive festival. In addition, Garima Thockchom, Gale's vice president of marketing, was recognized as one of Silicon Valley's 2011 Women of Influence by Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal.

    To further build its 2011 momentum, Gale Technologies will be exhibiting at VMworld in booth 871, taking place August 29-September 1, 2011 in Las Vegas.
