First Lady of Guinea Begins Building International Partnerships in the United States

  • (1888PressRelease) June 20, 2011 - Her Excellency, Ms. Djene Kaba Conde' hosted Dr. Cheryl Hill, CEO, Integrity International Consulting Group (IICG), as a strategic and valuable international partnership. Her Excellency was joined by Mr. Mory KABA-Ambassador of Guinea in Washington D.C, Dr. Abass Diakite, Senior Public Health Specialist USAID/Guinea, Mr. Aly Camara, First Secretary in Charge of Financial and Consular Affairs, Mr. James Cooper, Chief Operating Officer for Integrity International Consulting Group and other staff members of Her Excellency Conde's office.

    The First Lady hosted Dr. Hill and Mr. Cooper at the Marriott Hotel in New York where Ambassador Kaba introduced Dr. Hill as she congratulated Her Excellency, Ms. Conde' for her commitment to the fight against AIDS in Africa in general and Guinea in particular. Dr. Hill presented a Citation issued by Mr. Robert E. Bruchey, II, Mayor of the City of Hagerstown in the State of Maryland which stated "In recognition of her efforts and tremendous work for the fight against HIV/ AIDS in Africa to reduce poverty in Guinea, to improve the socioeconomic conditions of the Guinean population, especially for vulnerable groups of women and children and the partnership with Integrity International Consulting Group and the UNESCO Center for Peace to defend the interests of women and children, to ensure the promotion and protection of their rights, improve living conditions for the maintenance of peace, unity and national development "

    After the ceremony remarks were given by Her Excellency the First Lady of Guinea and Dr. Hill presented information on her organization. IICG is a group of international consultants who work with the private sector, government, community and nonprofit organizations. The group provides technical assistance and assist with capacity building. The group operates in the field of community development, health care, agriculture, education, environmental issues, micro-enterprise. The group's objective is to identify customer needs, find appropriate solutions to their problems and execute projects efficiently.

    After the presentation, Dr. Hill and the First Lady prepared the next steps for their partnership. Dr. Hill will visit Conakry in Guinea in late July or early August 2011 at the invitation of Her Excellency the First Lady. After the working visit, the First Lady will visit the United States to work at the invitation of Dr. Cheryl Hill, during which she will have the opportunity to meet government officials, municipal authorities, foundations and business leaders.
