- (1888PressRelease) January 23, 2014 - Optical communications test and measurement solutions provider, FiberStore, have recently added the JDSU MTS-X series to its extensive OTDR tester line, which are JDSU MTS-2000, JDSU MTS-4000, JDSU MTS-6000. The fiber optic OTDR JDSU MTR-X series are field-scalable test platform for metro networks with rich of flexible test modules.
The JDSU MTS-2000 and MTS-4000 is small, compact and handheld test platform designed to test all phases of the fiber optic lifecycle, from the installation to the maintenance of Access and FTTx Networks. The JDSU MTS-6000 OTDR is a compact and lightweight test platform designed for the installation and maintenance of fiber network. It offers field service technicians the highest levels of performance and upgradeability on the market. All the three OTDRs were developed to help telecommunication and cable operator field teams, system vendor field installation and service teams, and contractors install and troubleshoot fiber networks.
Performance features of the MTS-4000 OTDRs:
Highly scalable with up to 2 field-replaceable modules E4126LA, E4126MAE
Tests up to three wavelengths in both multimode and single mode fiber
High resolution and short dead zone for distribution fiber qualification
In-service testing dedicated wavelengths (1625 or 1650 nm)
Combined with PON Power Meter Module in the same T-BERD/MTS-4000 unit
Up to 128,000 acquisition points with sampling resolution down to 4 cm
Fiber test applications include CWDM OSA, xDSL/Copper and triple play

Support over 40 application modules including E8126MR, E8126LR, E8126LRE
Choose from IL/ORL, OTDR, PMD, CD, or WDM plug-in modules
Compatibility with existing MTS-5000 and MTS-8000 family OTDR modules
Connection Check with VFL, power meter, Loss Test Set/ ORL meter and video inspection scope options
Unique automatic bi-directional analysis function available to save up to 50% test time for OTDR, IL, and ORL measurements
