  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) July 16, 2012 - Directed by Trescher Catron and with music by Dawn Richards (Danity Kane, Diddy Dirty Money), the new video ushers in a new era for Made Woman Magazine. In addition to providing relevant content for the modern woman, the company is building a networking platform and plans to use the video to attract a community of professional, driven, empowered women who want to connect with others just like them.

"We want to show the world something different; to show everyone that women can be portrayed as powerful, driven, and creative and not just stereotypical sex symbols," said Serena Watson, editor-in-chief of the magazine.

The women featured in the video are anything but typical.

"Strength, style, business acumen, creativity, awareness...these are just a few of the traits that a Made Woman possesses. When creating our 'I Am a Made Woman' video, we sought to showcase a handful of women who, in their own respective elements, personify these attributes and many more," says business manager Lindsey Day.

Jaisy Geans, manager of the popular West Hollywood salon, Nine Zero One, shows the world that she can get the job done and do it with style. Allison Torneros, a wonderfully talented, up-and-coming artist lets viewers know that she creates her own destiny. Rachel Butler-Green, a professional dancer who splits her time between performing on stages around the world and teaching a community dance class, proves what is important to her when she says, "I know giving back to the community makes me better." And the world famous WWE Diva and philanthropist Eve Torres is fascinating to watch in the fast-paced action sequence as she shows us that she can "beat the boys at their own game."

Made Woman Magazine continues to uphold its mission by forgoing the use of actors and instead paying tribute to real, hard-working women pursuing their dreams. By encouraging creativity, professionalism, strength and a sense of community among women, they have successfully brought the principles of their content to life.

Made Woman Magazine was founded in 2009 by Lindsey Day and Serena Watson. Troubled by the lack of diverse representations of females in magazines, they set out with a unique vision to create a platform for young professional women to connect and grow together. Together, they built the Made Woman team: a collective of strong, witty and opinionated women devoted to writing about the issues that affect women's daily lives. More than two years later, Made Woman is becoming a lifestyle brand focused on spreading positivity, humor, and relevant information throughout the digital world and beyond.
