Jay De Las Alas is a Filipino national with a long and impressive stack testing, air-monitoring, and air-quality consulting resume. He is currently employed in a senior role at Berkman Systems, Inc., the largest Filipino environmental consulting firm, which ESS has partnered with for the conduct of RATA testing in Asia.

Jay is the head of environmental monitoring and the head of business development for the monitoring division at Berkman, where he has worked for the past 13 years. He has a B.S. in Business Administration Marketing, and a B.A. in Industrial Design. Since 2008 he has acted as Senior Project Manager for a wide variety of emissions testing and air monitoring projects, overseeing all aspects of testing projects for pollutants such as Particulate Matter, Gaseous Criteria Pollutants, Sulfuric Acid Mist, Metals, and VOCs, in addition to regular RATA testing for CEMS systems. He is a member of a number of Filipino emissions testing groups and business organizations, and has received advanced training in isokinetic and gaseous monitoring, ambient monitoring, and many stringent safety training requirements.
