    Usher-Mesiano began her career working in the insurance industry more than 26 years ago. In 1998, along with two female business partners she founded National Brokers Insurance Services, Inc., headquartered in Canada. When one of Usher-Mesiano's business partners was diagnosed with cancer, she was inspired to search for a trial drug or treatment that could help. This prompted her to open up another business, Monarch Intermediaries Inc., which provides second medical opinions to patients within five days helping them to make sure of the correct diagnosis, prognosis and treatment.

    Usher-Mesiano now leads three organizations: National Brokers Insurance Services Inc., National Union Insurance Group Inc. and Monarch Intermediaries Inc. She is a member of the Women Presidents' Organization, United Succes and is certified by WEConnect International, among others. Usher-Mesiano also serves as a board member for the Toronto Educational Opportunity Fund and as chair of the Waterloo Insurance Advisory Council.

    Donna Walczyk, partner and vice president of National Brokers Insurance Services Inc., began her career in insurance 14 years ago. Before becoming a full partner at National Brokers Insurance Services Inc., she worked in accounting for firms such as Deloitte.

    Walczyk crafts custom insurance strategies for her clients and is continuously updating her skills and knowledge to adapt to the changing marketplace. She is responsible for day-to-day operations, insurer relations for personal lines, program business and customer satisfaction surveys.
