- (1888PressRelease) June 26, 2025 - Emirates Scholar Center for Research and Studies participated as the official Scientific Partner in the inaugural edition of the Juthoor Summit: Artificial Intelligence and the Next Generation, held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center – Sakhir. The event brought together a distinguished group of experts, academics, and technology institutions from across the GCC.
This participation reflects the Center’s commitment to supporting innovation pathways, building sustainable knowledge societies, and strengthening the UAE’s position as a regional hub for scientific research and digital transformation. It aligns with the national vision to enhance Gulf cooperation in the fields of AI and emerging technologies.
In his address at the summit, H.E Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Bahrain’s Minister of Information, emphasized that artificial intelligence marks a historic turning point—no longer a distant future, but a present reality that requires reshaping professional skills and empowering national talent. He praised the active partnerships with UAE institutions and Bahraini universities, calling for continued Gulf coordination to create a legislative and economic environment that fosters AI adoption across key development sectors.
The Emirates Scholar Center presented a commemorative shield to H.E Dr. Ramzan Al Noaimi in appreciation of his prominent role in advancing media innovation, integrating AI in content creation, and enhancing regional collaboration in this vital field.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Firas Habbal, President of the Emirates Scholar Center and Vice Chancellor of the Board of Trustees, affirmed that the Center embodies the UAE’s vision of scientific and intellectual leadership. Guided by the directives of the country’s wise leadership, the Center places research and knowledge at the heart of future-building. He added that the Center’s role extends beyond academic publishing to include youth empowerment and the promotion of Arab cultural identity within the global technological transformation.
During the summit, the Center also delivered a technical presentation showcasing the role of AI in supporting research and improving access to trusted references. It introduced a range of innovative digital tools developed by the Center, including the “Coexistence Platform” the Emirati-Russian Psychology Dictionary, and the Al Moajam GPT all designed to promote the Arabic language and integrate AI within Gulf academic and cultural contexts.
The summit featured a series of expert-led sessions addressing the rapid developments in AI technologies and their growing impact on sectors such as media, education and entrepreneurship. It also included presentations of outstanding academic research from regional and international universities, along with the recognition of leading innovations in both public and private sectors.
In this context, Ms. Meera Zayed Al Balooshi, Head of the Organizing Committee, received a commemorative shield from the Emirates Scholar Center in recognition of her pioneering role in launching this impactful initiative and boosting the Gulf’s presence on the global digital landscape. The Center’s delegation also honored key supporting institutions and academic and media partners who contributed to the success of the summit’s first edition.
