  • Boston, MA-NH (1888PressRelease) November 07, 2011 - After six months of development, Boston-based entrepreneur Andrew Garcia launches a new, free web service for writers and note-takers called Jotstack.com.

Garcia, Jotstack's CEO, knows how fleeting moments of inspiration can be. As a writer himself and self-described "idea-guy", Garcia has looked to the mobile web and applications markets for a solution. Like many other writers, he found most solutions to be cumbersome or inaccessible during the most important moment for any creative person - those illuminative, inspiring moments when that "next great idea" comes to mind.

"I needed a way to write things down when I was most inspired," said Garcia. "I love my paper journals but I frequently lost important sheets or scraps and had trouble finding ideas that I had written down, later on. Other applications out there offered great services but were usually project-based or too complicated to suit the creative process."

Garcia got to work in early 2011 to develop his own solution. He found that a simple and fast platform could work for other writers like himself, but needed to be easily accessible.

"I spend a lot of time on the road and on my phone. I realized early on that this service would have to be mobile-ready and needed to live in the 'cloud'," Garcia added.

The result, six months later, is a note-taking service built specifically to address the needs of writers who grapple with fleeting moments of inspiration. The core-features of Jotstack.com speak to a variety of lifestyles and creative workflows. While early adoption is strong, Garcia hopes for his service to become a standard "tool in the box" for people all over the world.

Says Garcia: "As long as there are creative people out there and until computers can read our minds, there will always be a need for a great service like Jotstack.com. I'm willing to share it for free."
