  • (1888PressRelease) February 18, 2011 - Earnest Harris, already a movie director and producer, a script writer and book editor, appeared on the popular online Hollywood-based video show, ActorsEntertainment this week to talk about his new book and his new motivational speaking work.

Alyson Sullivan, a Hollywood actress who has appeared in such television shows as Caroline In The City, and the daytime drama, The Bold and the Beautiful, as well as playing the Yellow Ranger on the popular Saturday morning series, Power Rangers, hosted the show and interview with Harris.

Harris and Sullivan covered a wide range of entertainment industry topics during the 45 minute show from his decision to get into directing, to what a publicist does, as that is another hat worn by Harris, one of many as his company, Marlo Entertainment, the parent to Marlo Productions, is involved in many aspects of the entertainment business. The company does movies, television, internet content, music, gaming as well as publicity and talent management.

But the principal focus of the interview was hearing how Harris became a motivational speaker and learning a bit about his philosophy, as laid out in his just released new book, Never Settle Again: Living A Life With No Regrets.

Harris pointed out to Sullivan and the viewing audience that the core of his philosophy is encouraging people to find whatever it is that they dream about doing, regardless of all the obstacles that seemingly lay in the way. And once that dream or goal is established, and there is no limit to how many one can have, then doing everything in one's power to move in that direction, despite society's pressure to "be realistic."

He and Sullivan both agreed that all too often our society looks at people in the entertainment business particularly as people not in pursuit of serious careers. But as Harris said, "Those people don't realize that to us in the entertainment business, it is just that, the business of entertainment."

Sullivan also talked to Harris about his upcoming movie project, scheduled to begin shooting this summer in Los Angeles. He told her it is called "Wanda's Place" and features an all-star cast. The film, written by Earnest Harris himself, is comedy about a community that bands together to save a neighborhood diner that has always helped them in their time of need. It will mark Harris's second major film he has directed.
