Eagle Van Lines Moving And Storage, Inc. Aids Santa, Bringing Holiday Cheer To Hudson County
While Santa readied his sleigh for the upcoming Christmas holiday, Eagle Van Lines was already on the roads of New Jersey, helping St. Nick spread the seasonal cheer as part of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce Legends Ball Event.
- Jersey City, NJ (1888PressRelease) December 19, 2010 - While Santa readied his sleigh for the upcoming Christmas holiday, Eagle Van Lines was already on the roads of New Jersey, helping St. Nick spread the seasonal cheer.
Local charities, places of worship, and others received an early Christmas gift as Eagle Van Lines delivered live, fully-decorated trees! The evergreen spruces, donated from Jersey City Medical Center, Lutheran Senior Life, and the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce, each showcase vivid LED white and multi-colored lights along with painted plastic balls, classic ornaments, candy canes, tinsel and a Christmas star on top.
"We're humbled that in these challenging economic times that community partners like Eagle Van Lines has helped give us a jump start on the season," said a church representative at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Jersey City and one of the recipients of the special trees. "We wish them all a Merry Christmas and hope their trees shine as brightly as ours."
Other tree deliveries - without the help of Reindeers - were made at Hudson Cradle, a group home that assists homeless infants, and the United Way of Hudson County, both in Jersey City. The drop-offs were part of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce's third annual Legends Ball, held on December 8th at The Westin Jersey City Newport, an event that attracted more than 250 guests. Honorees Frank Gargiulo, Dr. Carlos Hernandez, and Bob Hurley, Sr. were chosen for their many contributions to Hudson County.
