Dunes Celebrates Indian Summer by Expanding Hours

In celebration of the 2016 Indian Summer, Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina in Newport Beach is extending its summer festivities through September. Usually concluding after Labor Day, Vice President and General Manager Andrew Theodorou announced that Moe B's Watersports Park, featuring a number of inflatable aquatic attractions including rock climbing walls, icebergs and water trampolines, will remain open Saturdays and Sundays in September. Cost is $25 for 2-hour sessions (special pricing is available for RV guests). Also, rentals of paddleboats, pedal boats, kayaks, hydro bikes and Duffy's electric boats will be available then.

    The Dunes' Moe B's Radiant Rides, nighttime stand-up paddleboard adventures held on Fridays and Saturdays (except Labor Day weekend when it will be open on Saturday & Sunday) will continue through September. Cost is $30 per person and includes a glow accessory. Also, the resort's in-house recreational rentals company, Pirate Coast Paddle, coordinates 1-hour guided SUP excursions every Friday and Saturday evening through September. Departing promptly at 8 p.m., the 1-hour tours offer an opportunity to view marine life only visible at night. Cost is $40 per person. Many enjoy dinner at the Dunes' critically acclaimed Back Bay Bistro following the tours.

    Finally, the Dunes' popular Movies on the Beach, open to RV Park and Marina guests will continue on Saturday evenings through September. Family-oriented films are displayed on a big-screen, right on the sand, and guests are encouraged to bring their own towels and beach chairs as Movies on the Beach continues its presentations at dusk.
