  • Cleveland-Lorain-Elyria, OH (1888PressRelease) January 20, 2011 - Ronald Kurzejka, MD, FACEP, recently released his new book, The Total Parent. The book is a complete guide to childhood illness and injury written by an experienced emergency physician, though what sets the book apart is the significant contribution included regarding parenting, educational success and how to teach values and character to children.

The Total Parent is a concise summary of more than ten years of personal research and more than twenty-five years of experience as an emergency medicine physician. Ron is raising five children of his own, and attributes a good portion of his understanding to his own personal experiences. He wrote this book to fill a void in the market for a reference to address medical issues in children as well as other areas critical to success as a parent. After providing a thorough summary of common pediatric issues from new baby care through childhood illness, injury, disease and disorders, the book moves on to child safety - content includes such critical areas as preventable deaths in book cover children, internet safety, drug and alcohol abuse in children, and what to do if your child is admitted to a hospital or ever becomes lost. The heart of Ron's message, about how to raise a child into a happy, honest, respectful and value-centered person, is explored in the final section of the book.
